The Pyramid Crew. Always in search of beautiful gemstones from all over the world. Exploring new designs, techniques and tools.
Pyramid Studios is a full service, year round jewelry store in Downtown Ellsworth, Maine – family owned by master jewelers David and Donald and David’s wife, Denise. Our work benches and state of the art equipment are located across from the Union River which flows outside our door. Pyramid’s jewelry showroom is on State Street, part of historic Peter’s block of brick buildings. We make, repair and sell jewelry. Our store carries our own work as well as other skilled jewelry designers offering the most diverse selection of sterling silver, gold, pearl and gemstone jewelry that you will find in Maine.
Our designs feature diamonds, colored gemstones and pearls from all over the world and from our own Maine shores and mountains set in 14kt, 18kt and 24kt gold, platinum and sterling silver. Many of our designs are one of a kind and have been collected by families all over the United States. We inspect and hand select quality materials and gemstones that meet our discriminating standards and always have an eye out for unusual, artisanal gemstones. With an engineer’s versatility and an artist’s eye, we make jewelry that can be worn and admired for many years, at an honest price. We strive to make beautiful jewelry designed to be wearable, comfortable and a good match for your profession or lifestyle. We also feature work of other jewelers such As Ed Levin Jewelers whose skills and designs we admire.
Pyramid Studios’ jewelry creations have been collected by four generations of families and customer friends around the world. This kind of customer loyalty has helped Pyramid become one of the foremost jewelry stores in Maine. We are proud of the reputation Pyramid Studios has gained over three decades of being in business built upon a foundation of integrity, quality service, unique jewelry design, and local community involvement.
Old world techniques and artistry along with advanced equipment, like computer assisted design programs and a state of the art laser welder allow David and Don, both Master Goldsmiths, to explore new paths in jewelry design and allow for greater precision in jewelry repair and restorations.
“We enjoy creating new works and breathing new life into old jewelry. Your ring, your way is the mantra,” says David, “Pyramid’s CAD program allows customers to select from a limitless variety of diamonds, gemstones or a treasured family stone for setting into a wide variety of mountings that can be customized. We advise and guide to fit the ring with the customer’s tastes, budget, and lifestyle.”
Denise comments, “Innovation has helped us thrive rather than just survive in this era of sameness and big box stores. We work hard to provide value, friendly and sincere service for the customer while fostering a work atmosphere of creativity and ingenuity.”
Customer satisfaction is top priority at Pyramid Studios. Word of mouth is still our biggest draw. Don explains, “The jewelry speaks for itself. We hope the quality and pride shines in every piece. We strive to match the focus we give our jewelry with the effort given to customer service. Whether changing a watch battery or designing, each service gets our full attention. Customers recognize this and keep coming back.”
To show appreciation for our customers, we are pleased to provide free lifetime inspections and cleaning whenever you visit our store. At Pyramid, you will always find free and friendly advice on the care and maintenance of your jewelry. Gift wrapping is always free.
